Virginia Mae (Roach) Brown

Virginia Mae "City" Brown, age 87, Louisville, formerly of Harrodsburg, widow of John Thomas Brown, died Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Norton's Hospital in Louisville. Born September 11, 1928 in Harrodsburg, KY, she was daughter of the late John Henry and Fannie (Meaux) Roach. She attended West Side School, was a child care provider and a member of the Centennial Baptist Church.

Survivors include: one nephew, Christopher Curtis Roach, of Louisville, one niece, Anna Deane of Liberty, KY, a special cousin, Lucille Hayden of Harrodsburg, her devoted companion, William Rice of Louisville and several other cousins and friends. Virginia was preceded in death by two brothers, James Curtis Roach and William "Tal" Lawrence Roach, and also a sister, Maggie Roach.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm, Monday, March 21, 2016 at Sims Funeral Services by Elder J. D. Short III. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Harrodsburg.

Visitation will be Monday, March 21, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Services.
