Thomas Michael Harms, age 73, Harrodsburg, husband of Mary Creadon Harms, died Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at VA Medical Center in Lexington. Born November 11, 1943 in Evergreen Park, IL, he was the son of the late Harold and Marian (Berner) Harms. He was a maintenance worker specializing in plumbing, carpentry and electricity. He loved to fish, hunt, do woodworking, make Christmas decorations and custom drapes He was a member of the St. Andrews Catholic Church in Harrodsburg.
Survivors other than his wife include two daughters, Sandra Jeslis of Danville, KY and Amanda Cowley of IL; two sons, Charles (Deidre) Harms of Harrodsburg, KY and Scott (Susan) Jeslis of Danville, KY; four sisters, Carol (Jim) Pugh of MO, Marilyn (Ray) Grey of IL, Beverly (Clarence) Shrok of MO and Donna (Ron) Bozinovich of IL; two brothers, Richard (Marge) Harms and William (Fran) Harms both of IL; thirteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be conducted 11:00 am Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at the St. Andrews Catholic Church in Harrodsburg by Father Al Degiacomo. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at St. Andrews Catholic Church. Sims Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.
