Some of my greatest memories of growing up were spent at Henry and Katie's home. Katie taught me how to properly "clean a house". Henry showed me treasures to be made out of a simple piece of wood! Martha and I were like sister, being only 1 and a half year apart in age. - Shirlie ever the "older sister", helping us to navigate those teen age years! It was the 60's, after all !!! In later years we would enjoy fabulous nights a the Junior League Horse Shows, with Shirlie and Jerry treating me to new adventures - eating sushi. For Pete's sake I always thought fish had to be fried and served with cornbread! And I always enjoyed our brief encounters at the Burgin Post Office. We would take time to catch-up and she would always say in parting..... "Come see me". GODSPEED, Shirlie. Lou Walters Bugg

Shirlie was the classest woman I have had the privilege to know. We worked at Haggin Hospital for years. She was my mentor and my dear friend. I will remember always with a smile. May she rest in peace with her beloved. Jerry.
