William Arthur "Bear" Allen, age 66, Lexington, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at UK Medical Center in Lexington. Born September 8, 1958 in Harrodsburg, KY, he was the son of the late Arthur Fisher and Mary Willis (Allen) Young. He was a 1979 graduate of Harrodsburg High School where he played football. Following graduation, he became a full-time employee for Kroger both in Danville and Nicholasville.

Survivors include two daughters Jessica (Erin) Morales of Hudson FL and Crystal Scott of Danville; three sisters Aquila Young and Arthenia (Albert) Douglas both of Harrodsburg and Tonya (Kevin) McGhee of Lexington.Four brothers Bobby Charles Allen of Imperial, CA, Emmanuel Young and Melchizedeke (Melissa) Young both of Danville and Jeremiah Young of Versailles and two grandchildren Gabriel Morales and Emileah Spring.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm, Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at Sims Funeral Services by Mel Young. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Harrodsburg.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 1, 2025 from 11:00 am until the time of services at Sims Funeral Services.

Pallbearers are Brian Roach, Eric Roach, Jordan Young, Eddie Young, Jeremy Young, Aaron Young and one honorary bearer Bentley Jones.
