Ward Michael Cummins Sr., age 70, Lancaster, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2020 at Baptist Health Lexington in Lexington. Born April 8, 1950 in Danville, he was the son of the late Thomas and Maude (Freeman) Cummins. He was a self-employed retired painter/contractor, a veteran of the United States Navy and was a member of the Mitchellsburg Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters: Amy (Travis) Batton of Columbia, TN and Kindra Elizabeth (Timothy) Coontz of Junction City; two sons Jeff Gammon of Junction City and Ward Michael Cummins II of Burgin; one sister Gayle (Hank) Potts of PA; two brothers Ricky (Patricia) Cummins of McKinney and Timothy (Emily) Cummins of Junction City also by eight grandchildren.
Ward was preceded in death by seven brothers, Jim Cummins, Buddy Cummins, Dewey Cummins, Cecil Cummins, Bradley Cummins, Frank Cummins and Johnny Cummins; two sisters Brenda Carroll and Leah Miller and also by one grandchild.
There will be no visitation however there will be a private family graveside service held at a later date in Junction City.
