Violet Faye Warner of Danville, KY, passed away on Sunday, September 22 at her home. She was born in Washington County on June 11, 1924 to the late Charlie and Kate Russell. She recently celebrated her 100th birthday with her family. Violet was married for 55 years to her late husband, Roland Warner. She was a devoted Christian wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was the oldest member of Ellers Memorial Baptist Church.
Violet is survived by three children, Patricia Settles, Tony Warner (Marlene), and Deborah Cooley; five grandchildren, Denise Settles, Jamie Warner Thacker (Jeremy), Jeffrey Cooley, Laura Cooley, and Andrea Warner Gross (Zach); four great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. Violet was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters.
Visitation will be held Thursday September 26, 2024 from 11:00 until 1:00 at Sims Funeral Home in Harrodsburg, followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 PM, Bro. David Woodward officiating.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Burial will be at Peter Cemetery in Mackville, KY.
