Verna Ellen (Woods) Robinson

          Verna Ellen (Woods) Robinson, age 89, widow of Charles William Robinson, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at her home in Burgin. Born January 25, 1935 in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Marie (Dupel) Lynch. Verna was a retired cafeteria worker for the Burgin Independent School District and enjoyed camping, swimming, shopping, and watching TV. She was a member of the Burgin Baptist Church.
           Survivors include three daughters Donna Sexton of Harrodsburg, Denise (Joe) Monson and Kathy (Keith) Hensley both of Burgin, one son Kenny Robinson of Harrodsburg, one brother Larry (Carol) Lynch of New Jersey, eleven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.  Verna was preceded in death by one son Chuck Robinson, one brother Edward Lynch and four sisters Roberta Parker, Kathryn Peteta, Bertha Manning and Marie Seiter.
           A Gathering of Family and Friends will be Monday, July 1, 2024 from 4:00 until 7:00 pm at Sims Funeral Services.
