Travis Eugene Stephens

Travis Eugene Stephens, age 54, Harrodsburg, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at the home of his mother in Harrodsburg surrounded by many of his loved ones. Born April 26, 1972 in Harrodsburg, he was the son of Douglas Eugene Stephens of Lancaster and Diana Carol (Bottom) Hart of Harrodsburg. He was a graduate of Mercer County High School, became a self-employed truck driver and was a member of the Harrodsburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Travis loved the outdoors, being with his family and friends and especially playing with his Pit Bull “Sam”.

Other than his parents, survivors include a daughter Kelsey Brooke (David Mudd) Stephens of Harrodsburg;  six brothers Shannon (Billie Jo) Stephens of Harrodsburg, Jeremy Scott Stephens of Lexington, Lee (Jessica) Hart and Adam (Lori) Hart both of Harrodsburg, Collin Leber of Danville and Toby Stephens of Lancaster. He was also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Travis was preceded in death by his stepfather Terry Hart.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be conducted on Thursday, June 11, 2026 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Sims Funeral Services.
