Tami Lyne Phillips, age 61, Harrodsburg, spouse of Melissa Segade Phillips, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at UK Medical Center in Lexington. Born July 8, 1961 in Stanford, she was the daughter of Aletha Thompson Newman of Salvisa and the late James Phillips. She was a graduate of Lincoln County High School in Stanford, a lab technologist for USIOL in Lexington, was an avid singer, liked to fish and be with her family and was of the Christian faith.
Survivors besides her spouse include two daughters Whitney (Michael) Cash of Perryville and McKenzie Segade of Harrodsburg; two sons Tristan Segade of Canada and Billy James Grider of Danville; four sisters Susie Padgett and Leslie (Dale) Dowell both of Waynesburg, Shonda Bailey Turner and Lori (Gary) Clements both of Harrodsburg; two brothers Mark (David) Phillips of Greenville, TN and Owen (Brenda) Phillips of Stanford; three grandchildren Charlotte Morrell, Nathan and Addison Cash; a son-in-law Stephen VanWijnen of Canada; a sister-in-law Nicole Phillips of Cincinnati; seven nieces Aprille, Kelly, Jessica, Michelle, Brittany, Katlyn and Heather; five nephews, Kylar, Zachary, Eric, Will and Ethan plus a host of great nieces and nephews. Other than her parents Tami was preceded in death by her step-father Emmett Newman, a daughter Emily VanWijnen, a grandchild Tessa VanWijnen, a brother Ashley James Phillips and a brother-in-law Johnny Padgett.
Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 pm, Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at Sims Funeral Services by Bro. Johnny Morgan. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of services at Sims Funeral Services.
