Shirley Yeast

Shirley Yeast, age 94, Willisburg, husband of Louise (Ross) Yeast, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at Harrodsburg Health Care Center in Harrodsburg. Born February 3, 1928 in Springfield, KY, he was the son of the late Tom and Mattie (Hendren) Yeast. He was an auto body specialist for Quantrell and Spirit Chevrolet in Harrodsburg and enjoyed going hunting in his spare time and was a member of the Mt. Zion Church of Christ.

Survivors other than his wife include a son Darrell Yeast of Willisburg.  

Other than his parents Shirley was preceded in death by four brothers Loys Yeast, Russell Yeast, Ernest Yeast and Marshall Yeast; three sisters Hadgie Ross, Artie Ross and Annelle Ross.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm, Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Sims Funeral Services by Kelly Baker. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery in Harrodsburg.

Pallbearers are Kendell Ross, Doug Stratton, Billy Sparrow, Robert Baker, Brent Steele, Charles Ellis, and Kevin Isham.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 11:00 am until the time for services at Sims Funeral Services.
