Robert Hycle Hayslett

Robert Hycle Hayslett, age 81, Harrodsburg, husband of Virginia (McDaniel) Hayslett, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at University Of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. Born August 30, 1942 in Burgin, he was the son of the late Robert James and Hester (McKinney) Hayslett. He attended Burgin Independent Schools, was a machinist for World Color in Versailles, enjoyed fishing, gardening, building things for friends and family, playing with his cat and was a member of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors other than his wife is one brother Billy (Barbara) Hayslett both of Lexington; eleven nieces and nephews Jennifer (Travis) Kowanetz, Jeff Hayslett, Timmy Hayslett, Robbie (Kris) Hayslett, Joe Jr. (Jennifer) Hayslett, Elizabeth Fogakoldyke, Mary Combs, Elizabeth Combs, Samantha (Robert) Grice, James M. (Brandy) McDaniel and Jonathan (Alison) Keefe; several great nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by two brothers Joseph (Elizabeth) Hayslett and Ira Hayslett and also a sister Jean Hayslett.

Pallbearers are Jr. Huffman, Greg Pelfrey, Rich Newsome, Brent Steele, Ray Newsome, Joe Jr Hayslett, and Michael Hayslett.

Visitation will be Friday, December 1, 2023 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Sims Funeral Services.

Funeral services will be conducted at 9:00 am, Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Sims Funeral Services by Jim McDaniel. Burial will be in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens in Nicholasville.
