Rita Carol (Haywood) Cline

          Rita Carol Cline, age 75, Harrodsburg, wife of James Nelson Cline, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025 at her home in Harrodsburg. Born December 28, 1949 in Prestonsburg, KY, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Rosa (Whitaker) Haywood. She attended Betsy Layne High School in Floyd Co., she was a banker, enjoyed being with her grandchildren, doing housework and was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church in Mercer County.

          Survivors other than her husband include one daughter Rosemary (Chris) Bottom of Harrodsburg; one son James G. (Ashley) Cline of Danville; six grandchildren Michaela (Austin) Griffin of Harrodsburg, Jonah Cline, Lydia Cline, Charles (Casandra Steele) Cline, Annabeth Rita Cline all of Danville and Cameron (Kelsi) Davis of Lexington; two great grandchildren Roman Griffin and Aiden Griffin both of Harrodsburg. Rita was preceded in death by two brothers Charles Haywood and Henry Haywood; eight sisters Betty Hensley, Brenda Ritter, Norma Anderson, Lois Haywood, Judy Schoolcraft, Oma Weddington, Mary Richardson and Barbara Shewmaker. She was also preceded in death by her beloved pet "Puppy". 

          Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 pm, Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Sims Funeral Services by Bro. Doug Wesley. Visitation will also be on Saturday, from 12 noon until the time of services at Sims Funeral Services.
