Raymond Douglas Jarvis, age 65, Harrodsburg, husband of Rhonda Gay (Barnett) Jarvis, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at U of L Hospital Burn Unit in Louisville. Born October 3, 1954 in Paintsville, KY, he was the son of the late Raymond and Pauline Warrix (Chisenhall) Jarvis. He was a graduate of Holmes High School in Covington, obtained his Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering and earned his Master Electrician License, served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War era, was an electrician and worked in industrial maintenance at Hitachi in Harrodsburg, loved to listen to and mastered all the instruments used in playing bluegrass music and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Danville.
Survivors other than his wife include: two daughters Amberly (Philip) Raider of Clarksville, IN and Brenda K Price of Goshen, IN; two sons Raymond Douglas (Ruby) Jarvis, Jr. of Richmond, KY and William Steven (Samantha) Mullins of Charleston, TN; one sister Rita Davis of Danville; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Sims Funeral Services by Bro. Brad Walker. Burial will follow in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Nicholasville.
Pallbearers are Raymond Jarvis, Daniel Jarvis, Jason Davis, Steven Mullins, Doug Jarvis, Jr., Steve Anderson, Philip Raider, and Ed Miller.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 22, 2019 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Wednesday from 9:00 am until the time of the service at Sims Funeral Services.
