Pastor Victor Paul Slatten

Pastor Victor Paul Slatten, age 86, Harrodsburg, husband of Shirley (Devine) Slatten, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at his home in Harrodsburg. Born May 11, 1936 in Lexington, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Myrtle (Robinson) Slatten. He was a veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam war, was a self-employed carpenter, pastor of Living Waters Church in Harrodsburg and enjoyed preaching and working.

Survivors other than his wife include two daughters Sandra Kay Sams of Lawrenceburg and Vicki Joyce Sams of Harrodsburg; a sister Josetta Hardy of  Louisiana; a brother: Scott Slatten of Frankfort; seven grandchildren David (Kyndra) Woods of Georgetown, Sarah (Ryan) Wilson of Lawrenceburg; Chasity (Sheldon) Lupson of AL, Justin Johnson, Tyler Sams and Alisha Sams all of Harrodsburg, Jessica (Marcus) Turner of Lawrenceburg; a great grandchild Katelin Royster of Versailles and two great-great grandchildren Tucker Royster and Canaan Johnson. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Juanita and by two brothers Art Slatten and Billy Slatten.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm, Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Living Waters Church (behind Mercer Outfitters), 1062 North College Street in Harrodsburg by Ryan Wilson. Burial will be in Rose Crest Cemetery in Versailles with military honors.

Pallbearers are Marcus Turner, Justin Johnson, Tyler Sams, David Woods, David Snow, Sarah Wilson and Bob Carmickle.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 24, 2022 from11:00 AM until the time of services at Living Waters Church.
