Nancy Hart Fitzsimmonds, age 97, Harrodsburg, widow of Robert Scott Fitzsimmonds II, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at her home in Harrodsburg. Born March 5, 1922 in Elkins, WV, she was the daughter of the late George Edward and Janey Wilson (Chenoweth) Harris. She was a graduate of Elkins High School in Elkins, WV, attended George Washington University in Washington, DC, assisted her husband with diplomatic services for the United States, loved to read, work crossword puzzles and to travel.

Survivors include one daughter: Jane (Tim) Thoman of Temple Hills, MD; four sons John (Valerie) Fitzsimmonds of Nova Scotia, Bob (Debbie) Fitzsimmonds III of Harrodsburg, Ed (Tina) Fitzsimmonds of Loxahatchee, FL and Don (MacKenzie) Fitzsimmonds of Wilmington, NC; eleven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Nancy was preceded in death by two sisters Jean Powell Harris and Elizabeth Berry.

There will be no local visitation or services however burial will be held at a later date.
