N.B. "Polie" Stratton

N.B. "Polie" Stratton, age 93, Harrodsburg, widower of Patricia Carol (Gabuary) Stratton, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024 at Walker's Trail Senior Living in Danville. Born November 1, 1930 in Ballard, KY, he was the son of the late Horace McKinley Sr. and Virdey Beatrice Stratton. He attended Fairview School in Mercer County and graduated from McAfee High School. Polie was a United States Navy Veteran of the Korean War. Following that he became a long-time real estate broker and auctioneer, loved to go fishing, mow grass, sing old-time gospel songs and spend time with his family and friends. He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters Jackie (Phil) Wainscott, Debbie Stratton and Jennifer Adams  all of Harrodsburg; six grandchildren Laura Peyton of Harrodsburg, Morgan (Andrew) Hawkins of South Jordan, Utah, Sonny (Jordan) Coatney of Rockhill, South Carolina, Stephanie Presley of Frankfort, Shelby Adams of New York, New York, Mia Isabella Adams of Harrodsburg: eight great grandchildren Sara Megan Peyton of Harrodsburg, Piper Ryan Coatney and Brooks Timothy Coatney both of Rockhill, SC, Hudson Jack Hawkins, Asher Stratton Hawkins and Sloane Parker Hawkins  all of  South Jordan, Utah, Nathan Presley and Clayton Presley both of Frankfort; special friends Steve and Pam Vinyard of Harrodsburg plus several nieces and nephews, cousins and many other friends. Polie was preceded in death by a son Timothy Bruce Stratton, a brother Horace Stratton Jr. and two sisters Shirley Johnstone and Evelyn Matix.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm, Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Sims Funeral Services by Bro. Stephen Brogli with Lee Todd Pinkston as song leader. Burial will be in the Bethel Baptist Church in Mercer County.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 25, 2024 from 11:00 am until the time of services at Sims Funeral Services.
