Mary Pat Cloyd, 91, went home to be with the Lord March 13, 2025. She was the beloved wife to the late Edward Douglas Cloyd. Loving mother of Connie Joyce (Tom) Borbely of Oak Forest, IL. Cherished grandmother of Kimberly (Greg) Howard of Berne, IN and Colleen (Trevor) Edmonson of Kankakee, IL and loving great grandmother of, Lucy Joyce Howard of Berne, IN, William Alexander and Audrey Margaret Edmonson of Kankakee, IL.
She was the daughter of the late Christine (Kakavas) Maheras and Andrew Maheras. She is preceded in death by three sisters, Ethel Bedunah, Marlene & Helen Maheras and two brothers, Harry & Leo Maheras. She is survived by five sisters Andrea Cora, Georgia Kuchinski, Katherine Walker, Christine Dillon, Sandra Maheras, and one brother, John Maheras. Dearest aunt of many nieces and nephews.
She was born and raised in Chicago, IL, where she met her husband. They raised their daughter in the South Suburbs of Chicago then moved to Kentucky in 1974. She was a woman of strong faith & a member of Bruner’s Chapel Babtist Church. She made friends easily with her kind heart, warm smile and the joy she would bring to others.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at Sims Funeral Services with Bro. Jordan Asbury officiating. Visitation will be Monday, March 24, 2025, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm and Tuesday, March 25 from 8:00 am until 11:00 am. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Greg Howard, Trevor Edmonson, Doodle Cloyd, John Cora, Mike Long, Tim Broderick.
Visitation will be Monday, March 24, 2025, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm and Tuesday, March 25 from 8:00 am until the time of services.
She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
