Mark Anthony Wofford

        Mark Anthony (Pops) Wofford, age 60 of Harrodsburg, passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at his home. Born September 30, 1960 in Harrodsburg, he was the son of the late William Henry and Margaret Louise (Jackson) Wofford. He was a 1979 graduate of Harrodsburg High School, a veteran of the United States Air Force, a former police officer for the City of Danville, a special law enforcement officer for the Housing Authority of Danville, was currently employed as a security officer at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, loved to sing and dance, watch movies, be with his friends and family and was a member of the St. Peter AME Church in Harrodsburg. 
        Survivors include: one daughter Desiree’ Wofford of Louisville; one son William Chase Wofford of Louisville; two sisters Lauretta Merriweather of NY and Francelia Mosley of Germany; two grandchildren Myles Wofford of TN and Chasely Wofford of Louisville and a special cousin Debra (Nick) Yeast of Harrodsburg. Mark was preceded in death by two brothers Robert Henry Wofford and Eric William Wofford.
        A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted 2:00 pm, Friday, October 1, 2021 at Sims Funeral Services by Terry Cornish, Nick Yeast and special remarks by Mark’s son Chase Wofford. Visitation will be Friday, October 1, 2021 from 12 Noon until the time of service at Sims Funeral Services. Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Harrodsburg.

        Honorary Pallbearers are: Nick Yeast, Michael Harris, Ryan Johnson, Kimble Jones, Kenton Bottoms and Marty Summers.
