Lorraine (Taylor) Tackett

Lorraine Tackett, age 92, Danville, formerly of Harrodsburg, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023 in Danville. Born November 23, 1930 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Sanford and Myrtle (Lambert) Taylor. She enjoyed cooking, listening to gospel music, reading (especially her Bible) and spending time with her family. Lorraine was a member of the Covenant Church of the Nazarene in Danville.

Survivors include two daughters Janice Hall of Sevierville, TN and Sherri Lay of Harrodsburg;'·one son Don (Alicia) Allen of Lexington; one brother Don "Gene" Taylor of Lexington; seven grandchildren, Amy Beth (Nick) Oeffling, Ben (Dara) Allen, Travis (Jamee) Carper, Don Pinkston, Keith Pinkston, Michele (Chris) Humphrey and Chris (Melissa) Lay; nine great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Lorraine was preceded in death by a son Rick Allen and his wife Ann and a brother, Bobby Taylor.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Friday, October 27, 2023 at Sims Funeral Services by Bro. Sam Hays. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00 am until the time of services. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery in Harrodsburg.

Active pallbearers are Ben Allen, Keith Pinkston, Travis Carper, Chris Humphrey, Chris Lay and Hunter Humphrey and honorary bearers are Jock Gum and Don Taylor.
