Linda (Long) Watts, age 77, Harrodsburg, widow of Connie G. Watts, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at UK Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington. Born November 24, 1947 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Jasper Oneal and Ann Catherine (Jenkins) Long. She attended the Mercer County Schools and was a lifelong pastry chef for Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill. She loved being with her grandchildren, “seek-n-find” games, growing flowers, going to Gatlinburg, Tennessee and attended the New Life Baptist Church in Danville.
Survivors include a daughter Carolyn Harrison of Danville; a son Jeff (Jessica) Watts of Perryville; a sister Judy Butler a brother Jerry Long both of Harrodsburg; she also has nine grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren; two nephews Levi Butler and Joshua Long also a granddaughter-in-law Rachel Harrison. Linda was preceded in death by a grandchild David Harrison Jr., two sons Michael Watts and Chris Watts and one brother Jackie Long.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at Sims Funeral Services by Bro. Chuck Robinson. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery in Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers are Levi Butler, Ryan Watts, Joshua Long, Jim Meredith, Cody Watts, Christopher Graham, Kris Miller and Drew Bradford.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 11, 2025 from 11:00 am until the time of services at Sims Funeral Services.
