John Weaver Turner Jr.

         John Weaver Turner Jr. age 62, of Pensacola, Florida passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at UK Medical Center in Lexington. Born August 12, 1962 in Orlando, FL, he was the son of the late John Weaver Turner Sr. and Sonya (Durr) Turner. He was a graduate of Biloxi High School in Biloxi, Mississippi, liked dealing with old radios and televisions, enjoyed watching Star Trek, collected belts and taking care of his cats.

        Survivors include four close friends Mitchell Smith of Nicholasville, Richard Shewmaker of Harrodsburg, Jason Rice and Justin Sanborn both of Lexington. John was preceded in death by two brothers Scott and Michael Turner and two sisters Dee Ann Turner and Michelle Turner.

        Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm, Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at Sims Funeral Services by Pastor Laura Altman.

        Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery in Harrodsburg.

        Pallbearers are Mitchell Smith, Jason Rice, Justin Sanborn and Ray Labotto and Richard Shewmaker will be an honoray bearer.

        There will be no visitation prior to the 1:00 pm service.
