Jimmie Dolores Farris, age 89, Harrodsburg, widow of Grover Cleveland Farris, passed away at Methodist Richardson Medical Center in Richardson, Texas on Monday, February 14, 2022. Born July 30,1932 in Columbus, LA, she was the daughter of the late Sidney J. and Mary Jane (Williams) Speight. She enjoyed traveling and was a member of the Buena Vista Baptist Church in Lancaster, KY.
Survivors include: one daughter Sherie Farris (Bryan Siddle) of Garland, TX; one son Gary (Teri) Farris Sr. of Belle Chasse, LA; one sister: Charlene Conacher of Leesville, LA; one brother Sidney Joe Speight of Many, LA. and one son-in-law Vahid (Tracey) Javid of Lexington. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Kasey (Dan) Windels of Gainesville, FL, Gary (Brittany) Farris of Denver, CO, Steven Farris of Belle Chasse, LA, Kimberly Ruediger of Garland, TX, Keri Ruediger of Plano, TX, Sam Javid of Frankfort, Cathy Javid of Lexington, and two great grandchildren: Luke Windels of Gainesville, FL and Lily Farris of Denver, CO.
Jimmie was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Grover C. Farris; one daughter, Linda Javid and four sisters, Majorie Bailey, Rosemary Tohlen, Ramona Waller and Barbara Remedies.
Burial will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Nicholasville, KY.
