Janice Marida (Hughen) Hood

Janice Marida Hood, age 67 of Harrodsburg passed away on March 2, 2020 at the Ephraim McDowell RMC in Danville. Born December 13, 1952 in Mobile, AL, she was the daughter of the late Louis Otis Hughen, Sr. and Jeanette Ellen (Peacock) Cross. She attended high school in Dallas, TX; was a waitress at Papa John’s in Harrodsburg, loved peacocks, was a people person, liked to cook and was a member of the Harrodsburg Community Church.
          Survivors include her significant other Kevin Gagme of Harrodsburg; one son John Manuel (Nikki) Chapa Jr. of Harrodsburg; three brothers Louis Hughen, Jr. of Bonham, TX, Larry (Helen) Hughen of Dallas, TX and Jeff Hughen of Beaumont, TX; two grandchildren Madison Leona Chapa and John Manuel Chapa III both of Harrodsburg.
          A “Celebration of Life Service” will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at the Harrodsburg Community Church by Bro. Terry Morrison.
          Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at the church on Saturday, March 7, 2020.
