James “Jim” Roscoe Corman, age 80 of Harrodsburg, was born November 16, 1941 to the late Mary Belle (Drury) Corman Claunch and Paul Cecil Corman and went home to be with our Lord on February 14, 2022. He lived a full life and served proudly in the United States Navy. Jim was a member of the VFW, the Handy Man Club and enjoyed reading and fishing. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Fellowship Baptist Church.
Jim is survived by his five children whom he loved and cherished; Bobbi Bruner-Murihead and her husband Tom of South Carolina, their children and grandchildren; Annajean Corman and her son; Gary Wayne Corman and his wife Ladonna, their children and grandchildren; Cindy Mitchell and her husband Rob, their children and grandchildren; and Dale Corman, his children and grandchildren all of Roswell, NM. He is also survived by his twin sister Jane Ader of Harrodsburg, the mother of his children, Elaine Corman-Miles of NM and several nieces and nephews. Other than his mother and father, he was preceded in death by his stepfather Oliver Claunch, two sisters Dorothy Collier and Pauline McGrath and his companion Gloria Murphy.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Monday, February 21, 2022 at Sims Funeral Services by Greg Collier. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until time of the services at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Johnny Drury, Paul Collier, Todd Collier, Mark McGrath and Matt McGrath. Honorary Pallbearers are Genie & Toni Sims, Arlen Peavler, Henry Peavler, Condit Peavler, Herbie Peavler and W.T. Peavler.
