James Thomas Moss

            James Thomas “J.T.” Moss, 90, Frankfort, formerly of Columbia, died Tuesday, September 4, 2018 8:57 pm at the Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington. Born June 9, 1928 in Adair County to the late Walter Edgar and Ida Gibson Moss. He was a United States Air Force Veteran, a member of Shawnee Run Baptist Church in Harrodsburg and an avid fisherman.  He formerly owned his own trucking company and later owned J.T. Moss & Son Trucking Company and retired from Lewis Transport where he served as a terminal manager.
          Survivors include: one son Gary Moss and his fiancé Lisa Lester both of Harrodsburg, two daughters Brenda (Barry) Vernia, Corydon, IN and Renee (Jeff) Croley, Frankfort, four grandsons, Nick Moss, Lee Thomas Moss, Shane Moss and Mason Moss, five great grandchildren and several other relatives and friends.
          Funeral service will be conducted Friday, September 7, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home in Columbia, KY with Bro. David Moss officiating. Burial will follow in Haven Hill Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 until 7pm Thursday and prior to the service on Friday. Memorials are suggested to the Special Olympics of Kentucky.
