James Acie McCoy, age 80, Harrodsburg passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022 at Cambridge Place in Lexington. Born June 22, 1942 in Ransom, KY, he was the son of the late Acie and Elsie (Mayhorn) McCoy. Survivors include a daughter: Karen Lynn Allen of Lancaster, KY; a son Nathan (wife Renae) McCoy of Hazel, KY, a sister Shirley Holbrook, a brother Ellis Ray McCoy, 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, November 28, 2022 at 1:30 PM at Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Nicholasville, KY. Joseph Allen and Clint McCoy, grandsons, will be officiating the service. Military honors to follow.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 28, at Sims Funeral Services in Harrodsburg, KY from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.simsfuneralservices.com.
