Isaac Colvin, age 84, Harrodsburg, widower of Barbara Jean Sanders, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Harrodsburg Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born June 10, 1940 in Des Arc, AR, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Ada (DeLozier) Colvin. He received his GED and then became a veteran of the US Army. Isaac attended Crowley’s Ridge Christian College, was a grocery clerk at the Air Force Base Commissary in Little Rock, AR and later became a newspaper carrier for the Lexington Herald in Mercer County. Isaac was a member of the Harrodsburg Church of Christ
Survivors include two sisters-in-law Gale Hall and Diane Tuggle; several nieces and nephews Connie Chadwick, Russell Chadwick, Lloyd Chadwick, Jeffrey Chadwick, Jessica Duffy, Brad Tuggle, Steven Tuggle, Zach Hall, John Hall, Ben Hall and a special niece and nephew Jeanette Evans of Grove, OK and Robert Colvin of Jacksonville, AK. He was preceded in death by a sister Maddie Jane Chadwick and a brother Otis Colvin
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Sims Funeral Services by Marc Nations of the Harrodsburg Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Shawnee Run Baptist Church Cemetery in Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers are Donnie Pinkston, Buddy Shirley, Ron Leasure, Jim Davis, Stanley Tatum and Jack Freeman.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 23, 2024 from 10:00 am until time of services at Sims Funeral Services.
