Gordon Lewis West

Gordon Lewis West, age 82, Harrodsburg, affectionately known as "Mr. West" around the Duncan community, widower of Mary Katherine (Dunn) West, passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Landmark of Danville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Danville. Born December 22, 1938 in Richmond, KY, he was the son of the late James Lewis and Anne Elizabeth (Agee) West. He was a retired Animal Science Technician for the University of Kentucky after 34 years of service, was an animal lover especially horses and doing farm work.

Survivors include one daughter: Elaine (Bill) Pence of Versailles; three sons Jimmy (Leslie) West of Lexington, Billy (Stacy) West of Harrodsburg and Ray West of Willisburg; one sister Shirley Davis; two sisters in law Peggy Halfhill and Rosa West; one brother in law Bennie (Elva) Dunn; seven grandchildren Danielle (Drake) Mondelli of Lexington, Jonathan (Kristin) West of Harrodsburg, Taylor (William Yaste) West of Harrodsburg, Austin (Brooke) West of Lawrenceburg, Tyler (Samantha) West of Parksville, Zack West  of Willisburg and Katelen (Mike Stewart) West of Lexington; six great grandchildren Westin, Kyler, Kora, Mason, Jaxson and Lynnlee Marie; a host of nieces and nephews; four very special friends, Christy Hicks, Ginny & Krystal Click and Sarah Abt;  plus special care takers at the Kindred Home and Donna Young. 

Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 noon, Monday, November 15, 2021 at Sims Funeral Services by Leonard Price. Burial will be in Odd Fellow Cemetery in Corinth, KY. Visitation will be Monday, from 10:00 am until the time of services at Sims Funeral Services.

Pallbearers are Jonathan West, Zack West, Austin West, Tyler West, Drake Mondelli and William Yaste. Honorary bearers are David Drury, Cory Wallace, and Fred Huff.
