George William Trigg

George William Trigg, age 63, Harrodsburg, husband of Bonita Inez (Yates) Trigg, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Ephraim McDowell RMC in Danville. Born July 17, 1957 in Springfield, KY, he was the son of the late William Ike and Jean Alice (Raines) Trigg. He was a graduate of Washington County High School in Springfield, a factory employee for Curtis Maruyasu America, Inc. in Lebanon, KY, he enjoyed playing cards, going fishing and was a member of the First Baptist Church on Broadway in Harrodsburg.

Survivors other than his wife include: two daughters Carly Scruggs of Burgin and Celeste Scruggs of Harrodsburg; four sons Tyrone (Mary Jane) Trigg of Lebanon, Damon Trigg of Lebanon, Brandon Trigg of Springfield and Brandon Yates of Danville; nine grandchildren; one sister Delores Turner of Springfield; his mother-in-law Jerry Lynn Yates of Harrodsburg; five brothers-in-law Melvin (Kim) Yates of Indianapolis, Micquel (Alita) Yates of Ridgecrest, CA, Joey (Lana) Yates, Jose (Denise) Walker, and William (Tawaka) Bartleson all of Harrodsburg; three sisters-in-law Laura Phillips of Lexington, Becky Yates of Virginia Beach, VA and Betsy Yates of Harrodsburg; one aunt Rita (Nick) Bates of Danville plus two special friends Leo Doty of Springfield and Linda Warren of Danville.

Due to a close family member currently affected with the Covid 19 virus, visitation will be Saturday, January 16, 2021 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm followed by funeral services at Sims Funeral Services in Harrodsburg with Pastor Virgil A. Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Harrodsburg.

Pallbearers are Joey Yates, Jose Walker, William Bartleson, Curtis Majors, Thomas Porter, Edward Davidson, B.J. Stokes and Caleb Stokes.
