Gary Steven Moyers, age 63, Harrodsburg, husband of Deborah K. Willoughby Moyers, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at his home in Harrodsburg. Born October 20, 1956 in Bowling Green, KY, he was the son of the late Roy Moyers and Myra Jane (Evans) Moyers Hill. Gary was a graduate of Warren Central High School in Bowling Green, KY, attended Western Kentucky University, was the current production manager, photographer and writer for the “Cat’s Pause” owned by Landmark, a former sports editor for the Harrodsburg Herald, loved spending time with his grandchildren, playing golf, was a sports enthusiast, a member of the Bright Leaf Golf League and was a member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: his wife Deborah K. (Willoughby) Moyers, one daughter Stephanie (Trent) Baker of Harrodsburg; two sisters Kaye Moyers Hayes of Bowling Green and Vicki (Randy) Anderson of Michigan; one brother Cory (Robin) Moyers of Bowling Green and he also has three grandchildren Josiah Aaron Baker, Silas James Baker and Abigail Ruth Baker all of Harrodsburg.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 2, 2020 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Sims Funeral Services. A “Celebration of Life Service” will be held at a later date with Bro. Trent Baker officiating.
To abide by Kentucky's regulations set forth by the Commonwealth, the funeral home can have up to 33% occupancy (100 total at Sims Funeral Services), everyone who attends is asked to wear face coverings and practice social distancing.
