Gail Marie Napier

Gail Marie Napier, age 65, Harrodsburg passed away on Monday, September 5, 2022, at Baptist Health Lexington in Lexington, KY. Gail was born October 17, 1956, in Danville, Ky., to Mrs. Lena (Napier) Hunn and the late Obie Slater. She graduated from Harrodsburg High School in 1974 and attended Kentucky State University in Frankfort, Ky. She served her community for several years as a 911 radio dispatcher/supervisor for the Harrodsburg Police and Fire Departments and the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office. She was a dedicated seamstress, actress/singer and loved to cook. She was a member of the Centennial Baptist Church in Harrodsburg where she loved to sing and served as an usher and various activities.  

Gail is survived by her Mother Lena (Napier) Hunn and Windrell Hunn Jr. (stepfather). Her son David (Amanda Aday) Napier of Lexington; sister: Rebecca (Marion) Johnson of Stone Mountain, GA and brother: Windrell Lee Hunn; She will be remembered by a host of family and friends: special companion Gary Walker (Harrodsburg); two nieces Niya Johnson, Shalay Terrell (Georgia) and one great nephew and friends too numerous to list. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted 12:00 noon on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at Centennial Baptist Church by Pastor Donald Wayne Smith. There will be no visitation.
