Felicia “Peach” Annette (Hamlin) Meadows, age 76 wife of Bobby Eugene Meadows passed away peacefully at her home at 12:25 pm on March 24, 2020 surrounded by her family. Born on December 26, 1943 in Stearns, KY, she was the daughter of the late Ralston Lewis Hamlin and Pauline Margaret (Hall) Hamlin. Felicia became an army wife to Private Bobby Eugene Meadows on May 12, 1961 at Rosemont Baptist Church in Lexington, Kentucky. Bob and Peach are graduates of the first grade at the Stearns School in Stearns, KY. She went on to graduate from Lafayette High School in Lexington and later received an Associate Degree from the Lexington Community College.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters Laura Annette Meadows of Stanford, KY and Deborah Lynn (Wendall Rakes) Sampson of Harrodsburg; two sisters Patricia Mae (Richard) Smith of Debarry, FL and Vanessa Louise (Mike) Fasses of Longwood, Fl; ten grandchildren Bobi Felicia (Kyle) Street of Loogootee, IN, Terence Eugene (Susie) Spradlin of Clarksville, TN, Jessica Racheal Spradlin of Harrodsburg, Elizabeth Jane Meadows, Robert Raymond Meadows and Joshua Davis Meadows all of Phoenix, AZ, Rebeckah Lynn Hines, Sarah Eugenia Meridith, Adrian Lee Hines and Jamie Faye Bustle all of Harrodsburg; two bonus-grandchildren, Karrissa Lee Rakes and Kelsey Brianna Rakes both of Harrodsburg; eighteen great-grandchildren and three bonus great-grandchildren. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by a son Robert Lewis Meadows and a sister Teresa Margaret Crouch.
Visitation will be held at her home in Harrodsburg from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm for family and friends on Thursday March 26, 2020.
Burial service with live streaming will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday March 27, 2020 at the Nancy Grave Cemetery in Stearns, KY where Felicia will be laid to rest near her son, Robert Lewis Meadows.
Due to the requirement for all Kentucky Funeral Homes as set for by Governor Andy Beshear and the CDC the following shall be adhered to: funerals in Kentucky are limited to the “Closest of Family” with “Private Burials” and no public gatherings of over ten (10) people will be allowed.
