Estel Lee Turpin

Estel Lee "Telly" Turpin, age 80, Harrodsburg, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at his home in Harrodsburg. Born March 12, 1940 in Liberty, KY, he was the son of the late George Washington and Della (Baxter) Turpin. He attended the Boyle Co. Schools, was a self-employed farmer, liked to tinker with clocks, knives and checking his mail. He was a member of the Perryville Church of God.

Survivors include two sisters: Mildred Reynolds of Boyle Co. and Lula Lister of Shelbyville; one brother Hubert Cleveland Turpin of Harrodsburg; special caregivers Regina Turpin, Nathan Bottoms, Brenda and Darrell Jones. Estel was preceded in death by two brothers Lawton Turpin and Edward Turpin and by three sisters Mable Lechok, Hazel Rogers, and Lucille West.

Services will be conducted 4:00 pm, Sunday, March 15, 2020 at Sims Funeral Services by Bro. Paul Stratton and Bro Tucker Huntsinger.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 15, 2020 from 1:00 pm until the hour of services at Sims Funeral Services. A private burial will be on Monday, March 16, 2020 in the Spring Hill Cemetery in Harrodsburg, Kentucky.
