Elizabeth Jean Burrus

Elizabeth Jean Burrus, age 96, Harrodsburg, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024 at her home in Harrodsburg. Born November 13, 1927 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Mark and Hallie Mae (Jones) Burrus. She was a former employee of American Greeting, Texas Instrument and the Kentucky State Hospital and later in life became a self-employed homemaker.

Survivors include a sister Alma Meaux of Harrodsburg, a brother Jimmy Burrus of Nicholasville and three grandchildren Lester Patton, Jr. of Junction City, Raymond (Antoinette) Patton of Danville and Dawana Patton Logan of Georgetown. Elizabeth was preceded in death by a daughter Geraldleen Bryant, a brother Davis Burrus, three sisters Opal Sigar, Edna Coates and Flossie Burrus Jones and by one grandchild Kendall Patton.

Private family funeral services will be conducted at Sims Funeral Services in Harrodsburg by Dr. C.B. Akins Jr. Burial will be in Dividing Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery in Mayo, Kentucky.

Her grandchildren will assist as pallbearers.

There will be no visitation.
