Doris Ann (Devine) Lay

              Doris Ann Lay, 83, of Willisburg, KY passed away at home on December 15, 2020.  Doris was born in Washington County to the late Cleo and Beulah Devine. She was the 1956 graduate of Willisburg High School. She was a member of Willisburg Baptist Church and retired from Central Kentucky Head Start where she was employed for 30 years. She had a passion to educate and long after retiring, she would still sing songs and read books to her great grandchildren as often as she could. She also taught Sunday school children for many years. In her free time, she loved taking care of her flowers. The Christmas cards she received each year brought her so much joy. She loved displaying them during the month of December. She had a heart of gold and loved her family deeply.
              Survivors include: a brother, Gary (Dorthy) Devine, Springfield, 3 children Tony (Angie) Lay, Willisburg, Teresa (Scott) Price, Harrodsburg and Nina Newsome, Frankfort; 6 grandchildren, Jessica (Craig) Hamilton, Andrea Mudd, Laura (Jon) Loman, Daniel (Bailey) Lay, Shawn (Emily) Bryant, Heather Price, and 6 great-grandchildren.
              Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Leo Daniel Lay, 1 brother, Jimmy Devine and a very special grandson in law, Steve Mudd.
              Casket bearers will be Daniel Lay, Shawn Bryant, Craig Hamilton, Jon Loman, Corey Hamilton and Jon Devine.
               Visitation will be conducted Friday, December 18, 2020 from 6 :00 pm until 8:00 pm at Sims Funeral Services in Harrodsburg. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Sims Funeral Services with Bro. Jay Hatfield officiating and Bro. C.H. Christopher assisting. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
               Due to the Covid 19 Virus regulations, all visitors and family are required to wear face masks and observe social distancing at the visitation and or service.
