Donald Bruce ("Cigar") Sanford

Donald Bruce "Cigar" Sanford, age 77, Harrodsburg, husband of Beverly Boswell Sanford, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2019 at Ephraim McDowell RMC in Danville. Born March 9, 1942 in Harrodsburg, he was the son of the late Charles Elwood and Joyce Genevieve (Henry) Sanford, Jr. He attended Harrodsburg High School, was an auto mechanic for Baker Body Shop in Harrodsburg, liked dirt track car races and fishing. He was a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church.

Survivors other than his wife include: one daughter Jennifer Sanford of Lawrenceburg; four sons Brad Sanford of Harrodsburg, Donald (Jade) Bruce Sanford, Jr. of Harrodsburg, Jeffrey (Eva) Sanford of Liberty and Tony (Mindy) Sanford of Harrodsburg; one sister Monica (Jeff) Jackson of Sacramento, CA; fourteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren; three step sons Jerry Graham of Wilmore, Daryl Graham of Nicholasville and Jeff Graham of Danville. He was preceded in death by a son, Donald Bruce Sanford II and a brother Jerry Wayne Sanford.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm, Monday, September 23, 2019 at Sims Funeral Services by Bro. Donnie Irvin. Burial will be in the Bohon Christian Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday, September 23, 2019 from 9:00 am until the time of services at Sims Funeral Services.
