Delores Ann (Smith) Sester, age 73, Harrodsburg, wife of R. B. Sester, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at her home in Harrodsburg. Born February 20, 1947 in Manchester, KY, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Bessie (Dykes) Smith. She was a graduate of Clay County High School attended Kentucky State University where she received her nursing degree, was a registered nurse at both St. Joseph and Good Samaritan Hospitals in Lexington, liked taking vacations, traveling and church activities. Delores was a member of the Burgin Church of God.
Survivors besides her husband include: two sons Jason Paul (Brenda) Sester of Harrodsburg and William Hugh Hutchenson of Lexington; two sisters : Sybel Smith and Cledith Smith both of Manchester; one brother Oscar Smith also of Manchester; five grandchildren, Matthew (Sherry) Sester of Willisburg, Billy Devine of Indianapolis, IN; James (Amy) Hatfield of Lancaster, Brandon Devine of Lancaster and Emily Annette Sester of Willisburg; two step great grandchildren Kai Blackburn and Angelica Jorgensen both of Lancaster; one great grandchild Sophia Marie Sester and a very exceptional friend Edith Henson of Lexington, KY. She was preceded in death by an aunt Dorthy Holland.
Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 noon, Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Sims Funeral Services by Bro. Donnie Irvin. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery in Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers are James Hatfield, Matthew Paul Sester, Brandon Devine, Jeremy Lewis, Teddy Lewis, and Matthew Lewis.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 27, 2020 from 10:00 am until the hour of services at Sims Funeral Services.
