David George Wiegand, age 49, Junction City, husband of Angela Dawn Bottoms Wiegand passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at Ephraim McDowell RMC in Danville. Born January 27, 1975 in Battle Creek, MI, he was the son of Sharon Ann (Hampton) Wiegand and the late William Eugene Wiegand Jr. He earned his high school diploma and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree. He worked for NWK Construction in Harrodsburg and enjoyed playing the guitar, fishing and working on vehicles. David was a member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors other than his mother include his wife Angela Dawn (Bottoms) Wiegand; two daughters Courtney (Jonathan) Plummer of Jeffersonville, IN and Miranda (Austin) Lathrem of Harrodsburg; three sons David George Wiegand Jr. of Danville, Devin Scott Bottoms of Junction City and Levi (Gentry) Bottoms of Harrodsburg; a sister Renee (Tom) Eberhard and a brother William Eugene Wiegand III both of Battle Creek, MI; seven grandchildren David George Wiegand III, Ridge Michael Jeffery Storms, Lucca Plummer, Raelynn Lathrem, Sawyer Lathrem, Jaycee Mae Lathrem and Brayden Ace Bottoms; one niece, Jennifer Hinton and three nephews, Tommy Eberhard, Shane Eberhard and William Wiegand.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Sims Funeral Services by Pastor Ricky Spain. Burial will follow in Peter Cemetery in Mackville.
Pallbearers are William Wiegand, David Wiegand Jr., Devin Bottoms, Levi Bottoms, Austin Lathrem and Wyatt Langdon.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 5, 2024 from 11:00 am until the time of services at Sims Funeral Service.
