David Castleman Quinn III, age 73, Harrodsburg, husband of Linda Faye (Garrett) Quinn, passed away on Monday, October 18, 2021 at Ephraim McDowell RMC in Danville. Born December 2, 1947 in Harrodsburg, KY, he was the son of the late David Castleman Quinn Jr. and Mary Rose (Mattingly) Quinn. He was a 1966 graduate of Harrodsburg High School, was Mercer County’s Animal Control Officer for 22 years, he liked to sing, view the mountains of Tennessee, was a UK Wildcat fan, loved dealing with all animals and was a member of the Living Water Church in Harrodsburg.
Survivors other than his wife include: one step-daughter: Dianne Cox of Danville; one step-son Joe Cox of Waynesburg; one sister Vicki (Leonard) Mackey of Frankfort; one step-grandson Jesse Lynn Cox of Danville; two nieces Ashley (Ray) Bryant and Megan (Eric Jackson) McElwain both of Lawrenceburg; six great-nieces; one great-great nephew; three uncles and two aunts. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Melvinna Rose Quinn and a step-granddaughter Jessica Cox.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted 1:00 pm, Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Sims Funeral Services by Bro. Victor Slatten
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 26, 2021 from 11:00 am until the time of service at Sims Funeral Services. Burial will follow in the Springhill Cemetery.
