Danny Dale Sallee Sr., age 73, Harrodsburg, husband of Debbie (Donahue) Sallee, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2022 at his home in Harrodsburg. Born January 17, 1949 in Harrodsburg, he was the son of the late LaRue and Rilda (Slone) Sallee. He was a 1967 graduate of Harrodsburg High School, attended Campbellsville College in Harrodsburg where he was a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society. Danny was a retired factory worker after 32 years at Eaton, Signet and Modine and then became a full-time minister at the Friendship Baptist Church in Butchertown (Casey County) KY. He loved camping, playing golf, being outdoors and was an all-sports enthusiast.
Survivors include other than his wife include one daughter Cheryl Delynn Sallee, one son Danny Dale (Jennifer) Sallee Jr. both of Harrodsburg; one brother Mike (Laurie) Sallee of Elizabethtown; nine grandchildren Logan (Ashley) Hall, Andreana Hall, Morgan Brooke Allen, Chris Mills, Thomas Lane (Natalie) Sallee all of Harrodsburg, Sierra Mills of Lawrenceburg, Matthew (Katie) Allen of Nicholasville, James Dale Sallee of Danville and Devin Humphrey of Stanford; eight great grandchildren Alli Crawley of Burgin, Alistair Blevins of Lawrenceburg, Ben Jette, Chloe Jette, Claire Hall, Foster Sims, Merritt Sims and Greylynn Gibson all of Harrodsburg; two sisters-in-law Connie Donahue (MD) Stowe of North Carolina and Frances Sallee of Nicholasville. Other than his parents, Danny was preceded in death by two brothers Howard Thomas Sallee and Donald Ray Sallee.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 18, 2022 at Sims Funeral Services by Bro. Robert Pike and Bro. Jim Clontz. Burial will follow in the Springhill Cemetery in Harrodsburg. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 AM until the hour of services at Sims Funeral Services.
Pallbearers are Danny Dale Sallee Jr., Matthew Allen, Logan Hall, Thomas Lane Sallee, Chris Mills and James Dale Sallee. Honorary bearers are Brooke Allen, Andreana Hall, Sierra Mills, and Danny’s great grandchildren.
