Clinton Sheeley Woodard

Clinton Sheeley Woodard, age 87, Harrodsburg, husband of Sheila Huff Woodard, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023 at Ephraim McDowell Haggin Memorial Hospital in Harrodsburg. Born April 11, 1936 in Harrodsburg, he was the son of the late John Clinton and Margaret Patterson (Gordon) Woodard. He was a 1954 graduate of Harrodsburg High School, earned a BS Degree from Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond. He then served our country in the US Marine Corp, was former co-owner of Yates-Woodard Chevrolet in Harrodsburg and later became co-owner of Woodard-Gondolpho Car Sales in Danville. He was known as the “Boat Doctor” on Herrington Lake in Mercer County where he loved the lake, his very special dogs Thelma and Louise along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Clinton was a member of the Harrodsburg United Presbyterian Church.

Survivors other than his wife include two daughters Ashley Woodard (Brandon) Johnson of Aurora, CO and Courtney Woodard (Chris) Greenway of Roswell, GA along with a “bonus daughter” Allison Patton of Harrodsburg; one son Phillip (Erica Toy) Woodard of Lexington; three sisters Patty Boyd of Danville, Sarah Sims of Harrodsburg and Margie Lou Fenton of Centerville, OH; two brothers Gordon (Beverly) Woodard and Butch (Jan) Woodard both of Harrodsburg; two grandchildren. Addisyn Woodard aand Vaylen Woodard. Clinton was preceded in death by a brother John Clinton "Pistol" Woodard. 

Graveside services with military honors will be conducted 1:30 pm, Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Camp Nelson National Cemetery with burial to follow.

There will be no visitation prior to the services on Thursday.

Pallbearers are Dwight Cotton, Bob Willett, Thomas Sims, Doug Sims, Buddy Redmon, and Bob Lynam.
