Claude Raymond ("Joe") Preston Jr.

Claude Raymond "Joe" Preston, Jr., age 73, Harrodsburg, husband of Ann Lewis (Brown) Preston, passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at the Ephraim McDowell RMC in Danville. Born August 21, 1947 in Eliot, ME, he was the son of the late Claude Raymond and Alberta Helene (Levitt) Preston, Sr. He was a graduate of Portsmouth High School in New Hampshire, obtained an associate degree from the Las Vegas Culinary School. Following his schooling to be a chef, he helped start the Lincoln Cuisine in Lexington. He also checked or inspected nursing homes to make sure their dietary standards were up to code. Joe enjoyed cooking and watching football and was a member of the Methodist Faith.

Survivors other than his wife include: three sons David Boone Brown of Harrodsburg, Joseph Anthony Brown and Phillip Lee Brown both of Grand Rapids, MI and ten grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted at a later date in the Springhill Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Sims Funeral Services of Harrodsburg.
