Christine (Adams) Tirey

Christine Adams Tirey, age 78, Harrodsburg, widow of Robert Tirey, passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Harrodsburg Health Care Center in Harrodsburg. Born April 10, 1940 in Hazard, KY, she was the daughter of the late Wilson and Rose Adams. She was a seamstress at Cricketeer in Harrodsburg, love to go bowling, fishing, family outings, being with her grandchildren and was a member of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include: two daughters Janet Brinegar and Crystal (Lamont) Owens both of Harrodsburg; one son David Lee (Mary) Patterson of Franklin, IN; one brother Leroy Adams of Cleves, OH; one sister Darlene Sparks of Indiana; twelve grandchildren Sarah Coffman, William Bowden, Heather Penn, Derek Edelen, Peyton Owens, Eli Owens, Bree Owens  all of Harrodsburg, Mykayla Coffman of Salvisa, Brandon Sallee of Georgetown, Nathan Patterson and Shawn Patterson both of Franklin, IN and Aleasha Young of Lexington, KY; six great grandchildren Amber Ireland, Trista Ireland, and Everlee Bryant all of Harrodsburg, Nevaeh Young of Lexington, Kimber Lynn Sallee and Monicka Sallee both of Georgetown, KY. Christine was preceded in death by one daughter, Debbie Tirey, two brothers, Leon Adams and Junior Adams and two sisters Wanda Adams and Kay Smith.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm, Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Sims Funeral Services by Bro. Orlando Mayes. Burial will be in Shawnee Run Baptist Church Cemetery in Harrodsburg.

Pallbearers are: William Bowden, Wayne Coffman, Lamont Owens, Derek Edelen, Peyton Owens and Brandon Sallee.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 23, 2019 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm at Sims Funeral Services.
