Charles S. Tingle, age 80, Harrodsburg, husband of Bonita Gayle (Drury) Tingle, passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2021 at Ephraim McDowell RMC in Danville. Born May 14, 1941 in Springfield, he was the son of the late Jessie B. and Gillie Ann (Sagracy) Tingle. Charles served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War, he was a self-employed tree trimmer, enjoyed going to personal property auctions, liked playing with dogs and rabbits, loved helping his family, friends and neighbors and was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Harrodsburg.
Survivors other than his wife include one daughter: Kathy Jo (Richard V. Robinson) Wheeler of Burgin; two sisters Mary Elizabeth (Hollis) Sanders of Springfield and Martha (Hughie) Willard of Bradfordsville; two brothers Tommy (Margaret) Tingle of Elizabethtown and Richard (Lana) Tingle of Cornishville; one grandson Joshua Moore of Burgin and special friends Jim & Linda Duncan of Harrodsburg. Charles was preceded in death by two brothers Jessie Ray Tingle and Joseph Tingle and three sisters Martha Nally, Mae Yates, and Dorothy Perkins.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm, Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Sims Funeral Services by Bro. Stephen Brogli followed by US Army Military Honors. Burial will be in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers are Sam Long, Stanley Long, Cody Deaton and Jeff Vineyard.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 7, 2021 from 10:00 am until the time of services at Sims Funeral Services.
