Charles William Montgomery, age 71, Harrodsburg, husband of Bernadette Vail (Flint) Amsden, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at his home. Born February 20, 1954 in Lexington, he was the son of the late Charles Lester Montgomery and Louella (Henry) Houp. He was a graduate of Jessamine County High School in Nicholasville, a building maintenance supervisor for the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture. He enjoyed breaking horses for his family and in fact would do anything that had to do with horses. Charles was a member of the Christian faith.
Survivors other than his wife include a daughter Kelly Bray and her four children all of FL; half-sister Sharon (Kenny) Wesley of Salt Lick, KY and their sons Ernie and Mike; half-sister Sue H. Crowe of TN; and a half-brother Kenny (Vanda) Houp of Nicholasville.
There will be no visitation or services as cremation was selected by the family. Sims Funeral Services in Harrodsburg is in charge of arrangements.
