Carolyn Dee McCord, age 74, Harrodsburg, widow of Robert Thomas McCord, Sr., passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at Ephraim McDowell Haggin Memorial Hospital in Harrodsburg. Born September 25, 1948 in Irvine, KY, she was the daughter of the late Ogle and Geneva Lee (Lynch) Banks. She was a waitress at County Market in Lexington for several years, liked to work on word puzzles, visit with her friends at the Mercer Senior Citizens Center in Harrodsburg and was a member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include one sister Colleen (Dave) Thomas of Lexington, several nieces and nephews and special friends at the Economy Inn. Other than her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son Gary Stamper, two brothers Larry and Gary Banks.
Graveside services will be conducted 10:00 am, Friday, October 7, 2022 at Camp Nelson National Cemetery with Bro. Daniel Akers pastor of the Heritage Baptist Church in Lexington officiating. Burial will follow in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Nicholasville.
