Anthony Julian Rice

Anthony Julian Rice, age 37, Lexington, formerly of Harrodsburg, passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at UK Medical Center in Lexington. Born July 28, 1983 in Danville, he was the son of David Julian Rice, Jr. and the late Donna (Hale) Rice. He was a self-employed construction worker, a 2001 graduate of Mercer County High School and attended Bethel Baptist Church.

Survivors include his father, David Julian Rice, Jr. of Lexington; his grandmother, Virginia Hale of Danville and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm, Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Sims Funeral Services with Ricky Mobley and C.J. Machniak as speakers. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until time of services at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Anthony Blue Rice, Alonzo Mefford, Gary Cox, Pat Rice, Cody Sanders and Ricky Hale.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be sent to the funeral home to help cover expenses.

A special notice concerning this young man, prior to his passing, Anthony registered as an organ donor. Due to his humble gesture, there are other individuals who will now be able to live a longer life.
