Anne South (Sutherland) Boggs

Anne South (Sutherland) Boggs, age 79, Summerville, South Carolina widow of Joseph Thomas Boggs, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Trident Medical Center in Charlestown, South Carolina. Born November 13, 1944 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Harold Thomas and Eudora (Dean) Sutherland. She was a 1962 graduate of Harrodsburg High School, received a BA degree from the University of Kentucky and became a sales representative for Proctor and Gamble. Anne was an avid reader, loved watching all sporting events, doing crossword puzzles and was a member of the Dorchester Presbyterian Church in Summerville, South Carolina. 

Survivors include a son Dr. Joseph (Shanna) Boggs of Bluffton, South Carolina; two sisters Trudy Sutherland and Kathy Sutherland White both of Harrodsburg; a brother Terry (Ann Hunter) Sutherland of Harrodsburg and three grandchildren Maksim Thomas Boggs, Ashlan Cate Boggs and Mills John Boggs. Anne was preceded in death by a daughter Laura Kathryn Boggs.

Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 am Saturday, May 18, 2024 in the Springhill Cemetery with Marc Nations officiating with burial to follow. Arrangements are entrusted to Sims Funeral Services in Harrodsburg.
