Anna Steele Obituary

            Anna Bernice Steele, age 94, Harrodsburg, widow of Robert Paul Steele, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2025 at Harrodsburg Health Care Center in Harrodsburg. Born May 22, 1930 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Mattie B. (Lowery) Peavler. She was a homemaker, care giver, liked taking time to visit Florida, had a special skill in “pysanky” (egg decorating) and was a member of the Cornishville Christian Church.

          Survivors include a niece Linda (Tommy) Peavler of Harrodsburg; two great nephews Troy (Julie) Peavler and Eric (Katharyn) Peavler both of Harrodsburg; a great-great niece Sadie Peavler of Harrodsburg and four great-great nephews Cass Peavler, Lynnwood Peavler, Bowman Peavler and Ranier Peavler all of Harrodsburg, KY. Other than her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son Robert Paul Steele Jr. and two sisters Roberta Lee Lay and Gladys Mae Claunch.

          Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm, Friday, January 10, 2025 at Sims Funeral Services by Brother Jordan Asbury.

          Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery in Harrodsburg.

          Visitation will be Friday, January 10, 2025 from 12 Noon until the time of service at Sims Funeral Services.
