Anna Ellen Bandy, age 90, of Harrodsburg, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at Ephraim McDowell RMC in Danville. Born November 29, 1934 in Springfield, she was the daughter of the late Henry Hirschell Pinkston and Lorraine (Darland) Pinkston. She was a 1953 graduate of Mackville High School, a seamstress at Mercer Dress, Trim Masters and Genesco and she was a long time member of the Harrodsburg Church of Christ.
Survivors include a sister Bonnie Gayle Tingle of Harrodsburg; three brothers Tony (Linda) Eugene Pinkston, Vance (Wanda) Darrell Pinkston and Donnie (Phyllis) Murrell Pinkston all of Harrodsburg; one grandson Gregory Blake (Kellan) Bandy of Harrodsburg and a great grandchild Bowen Lee Bandy. Other than her parents Anna was preceded in death by a son, Barry Bandy, two brothers Hirschell Frederick Pinkston and Tommy Dean Pinkston and by a sister, Patricia Darlene Lawson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm, Monday, January 13, 2025 at Sims Funeral Services by Marc Nations. Burial will be in Peter's Cemetery in Mackville.
Pallbearers are Marty Lawson, Tony Tingle, Jerry Lawson, Buddy Shirley, Brendon Robinson, and Scott King.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 12, 2025 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm also on Monday, January 13, 2025 prior to the service at Sims Funeral Services.
